Compass Private Exclusives is a closed listing network maintained by Compass — the largest real estate brokerage in the United States. Homes in the program are marketed to other Compass agents and, through them, to qualified buyers — but they are not posted on Zillow, Redfin, or the open MLS.

These homes aren't hidden. They're placed — in front of the specific group of buyers most likely to want them, working with agents who are paying attention.

What that means in practice:

  • No public days-on-market accumulating. A home that hasn't sold in 60 days on Zillow signals something to buyers, fairly or not. A Private Exclusive carries no such public timeline.

  • No address on aggregator sites. The home isn't searchable by neighbors, colleagues, or anyone with an internet connection.

  • No public price history. Pricing adjustments aren't broadcast.

  • Full optionality preserved. A Private Exclusive can move to Coming Soon, and then to a Strategic Public Launch, without losing the optionality of having started privately.
